ACT! Premium for Web software is provided when you order ACT! Premium for dual Windows & Web access to ACT! 

With ACT! Premium for Web, mobile and remote users have real time access to live contact and can benefit from the essential functionality of ACT!
 
Through the dual access of ACT! Premium, users can be granted permission to access shared ACT! data through a traditional Windows client installation and/or a web browser.
 
Each ACT! Premium licence includes windows client and web access capability so businesses don't pay a premium if people need the flexibility being able to use ACT! from an office installation as well as having mobile web access.
 
ACT! Premium for Web includes the core functionality of ACT! 2010 to manage contacts, track sales, schedule activities and make efficient use of your time.

Implementing ACT! Premium for Web

ACT! Premium for Web is installed centrally on a server so no client installation is needed. With the software centrally managed and administered, remote employees have access to the most recent product updates as well as all the layouts and reports consistent with the main office.

  • Apply access permissions to contact records for individuals and teams centrally
  • Field level security allows administrators to control access to specific fields by read-only and hiding the field
  • Automate database maintenance - set database management times to automate the ACT! back-up even when the database isn't open
  • Supports load balancing - organisation using multiple servers can load balance to maintain optimal performance
  • Regulate password settings - define expiry options, password alpha &/or numeric format and password re-use capability
  • Accessible using Safari 3.0 so ACT! Premium for Web is available on Mac computers

ACT! database hosting without the hardware

An ACT! contact database will typically be installed on a client server. However, if you don't have a server and don't want to incur the cost of building and maintaining an IT infrastructure to support ACT! we can host the database for you. To discuss ACT! How does ACT! Premium for Web compare to a local ACT! installation?

ACT! Premium for Web provides the core functionality of ACT! but compared to a Windows client ACT! installation the following features are different or not available:

  • Mobile Handheld Sync
  • Adding Document Shortcuts
  • Using the availability tab
  • Editing existing queries
  • Look-up indicator
  • List edit mode
  • Quick print
  • Dynamic lookup menus
  • Some iCalendar functionality
  • Certain administrative functions including importing data, changing layouts and defining user rights must be carried out within the ACT! Premium for Web server installation
